If you use or have used the Ticketmaster website, then you may need to take some action. It appears that one of Ticketmaster’s customer support systems was infected by malware and may have compromised personal information including names, addresses, email addresses, contact numbers, payment details and login credentials.
Anyone with a Ticketmaster account should change the password on their account, and also anywhere else that the same or similar password has been used (some people still use the same password in lots of places). In addition, I would advise you to be vigilant to any attempts by third parties to use the obtained details to make phishing emails appear more convincing. You should also closely monitor any affected payment method for fraudulent transactions, notifying the card issuer if you have any concerns.
